The 2016 FIRST Robotics Competition season, Steamworks, was the team’s fourth season competing. It was also the first season that Ontario used the district models, where teams earned points for their performance at events, and their ranking after the provincial championship determined who would qualify for the World Championship.
The Game
In Steamworks, teams collected gears from their loading station and delivered them to human players on the airship to engage rotors. Team also collected fuel from hoppers and on the field, and scored them in the high and low goals on the boiler. At the end of the match, robots climbed a rope to board the airship.
