The 2015 FIRST Robotics Competition season, Recycle Rush, was the team’s second season competing.

The Game

In Recycle Rush, teams stacked totes from the loading station and landfill, put Recycling Containers and litter on top of the stacks, and moved them to the scoring platforms to earn points. This year was different from most as teams didn’t rank based on wins or RP, but instead would be ranked based on their average score.

The Robot

The team’s robot for that season was named Elder Moeller, after one of the graduated students from the 2014 Aerial Assist season. This robot used an H-drive with 5 omni wheels to allow the robot to move in any direction. The robot also had two prongs and an elevator to grasp and stack totes both from the loading station and from the landfill.
