The 2025 FIRST Robotics Competition season, Reefscape, was the team’s twelfth season competing.
The Game
In Reefscape, teams collected coral from their loading stations and scored them on their reef. They also took algae from their reef and scored it in their net. At the end of the match, teams climbed on either a high or low cage.

The Robot

The team’s robot that year was named Vortex due to how the arm pivoted. The robot used a swerve drive, with a continuous elevator, and a infinitely rotating end effector. The robot also had a deep cage climber.

Newmarket District Event
The team’s first event of the 2025 season was the Newmarket competition. Through 12 qualification matches, the team went 12-0, ranking 1st. The team was the captain of alliance 1, and went 5-0 in playoffs, winning the event undefeated. The team also won the Quality Award.

North Bay District Event
The team’s second event was the North Bay competition. Through 12 qualification matches, the team went 8-4, seeding 4th. The team was the 1st pick of alliance 1, and went 3-3 in the playoffs, and were the event finalists. The team also won the Autonomous Award.
Ontario Provincial Championship
From the team’s performance at qualifying events, the team was invited to the provincial championship, and was placed in the Technology division. Through 12 qualification matches, the team went 11-1, seeding 2nd. The team captained alliance 2, and went 3-3 in the playoffs, and were the divisional finalists. The team also won the Creativity Award. With the season’s performance , the team finished 6th in Ontario, and qualified for the world championship.

World Championship
The team was placed in the Galileo division at the world championship. Through 10 qualification matches, the team went 10-0, seeding 1st. The team captained alliance 1, and went 5-0 in the playoffs, and were the division champions. The alliance advanced to Einstein, were they went 1-2, and were eliminated in match 9.
