The drive team is a group of students and mentors responsible for the operation of the robot at tournaments. The drive team consists of 5 people, with different roles and responsibilities. Only students can be driver, operator, or human player.

Driver

The driver is the primary controller of the robot, usually responsible for the movement of the robot across the field, and for simple mechanisms on the robot.

Operator

The operator is responsible for controlling complicated mechanisms on the robot, working with the driver to accomplish scoring objectives.

Human Player

The human player interacts with game elements, usually introducing them to the field or taking them from the field.

Drive Coach

The drive coach is responsible for the strategy that the team will use in the match. They have meetings with other teams on the alliance before the match, and communicate with the other drive coaches on the alliance during the match.

Technician

The technician is responsible for the mechanical and software preparation for the match. They ensure that the robot is connected to the field, that all systems are functioning properly, and that the correct auto is enabled on the robot.
